- Memories Walk
Arlington, Massachusetts
-
The Memories Walk on October 22 is a fun and meaningful way to honor the memory of someone you love and to support the work of The Children's Room: Center for Grieving Children and Teenagers. This short walk (under 3 miles) brings together hundreds of people. Registration starts at 9 am with the opportunity to decorate T-shirts and placards in memory of your loved one. After a short opening ceremony, the walk begins and there will be a memory activity on the way. Bring a photo of your loved one, too. We're walking rain or shine! Cost is $20 per person.
The public is welcome to come. We extend a special invitation to anyone who has lost someone they love and would like to be part of a supportive community. A special invitation goes out to anyone who experienced a loss as a child, teenager or young adult. Parents who are or have struggled with grief are welcome. Babyjoggers welcomed!
The walk begins and ends at Hurd Field in Arlington off of Drake Road, behind Trader Joe's (part at the field, please). The walk takes place on The Donald R. Marquis Minuteman Bike Trail.
Please contact Barbara Clarke at 781-641-4741 for more information.
