We take a look at fundraising event announcements from across North America.
- 15th ANNUAL
DONNY FUN DAY
Pleasantville, New Jersey
-
The 2009 Donny Fund Day is coming this June 7th! The annual event has become a South Jersey tradition to kick off the summer fun at the shore and at the same time raise emergency funds for south Jersey kids with cancer. Bring anything that floats and paddle the course or put on your swim trunks and try our swim course. Or if you just want to look at the water, try our walk/run course around the bay.
And if you are truly just a spectator, come and enjoy the best brunch deal on the shore, a deck party for just $6! Call 609-641-8666 for more info.
Donny Fun Day is an open challenge for rowers, swimmers, paddle boarders, walkers, and
runners of all ages, types, and shapes to test their ability against ‘Father
Time.’ For rowers and swimmers, the course will begin at and return to
the Yacht Club in Pleasantville. Kayaks, sculls, lifeguard boats, rafts, or
any seaworthy vessels are eligible to negotiate the Lakes Bay course of
2.5 miles en route to a brunch at the Y.C.P. The course for walkers and
runners will be a round trip scenic course beginning at the Yacht Club,
along the shores of Lakes Bay, to the old Sand Castle Restaurant. The
entry fee will entitle each participant to brunch, as well as a t-shirt, tank top, or hat. Long-sleeve shirts and
sweatshirts will also be sold at the Yacht Club.
“Bert’s Breakfast” for non-participants will be $6.00
All proceeds will benefit
