Fundraising Product Sales
Require Contract Provisions to Fix Responsibilities

When making an agreement with a supplier, be sure to cover the following general contract provisions:
- Complete specification of the product(s) ordered including sizes, colors, weights, total count, printing and materials.
- Specification as to whether the order is on consignment or an actual purchase by the fundraiser to be resold at profit.
- Date by which an unsold consignment must be returned.
- Replacement or repair policies for merchandise damaged in shipping, and dates by which fundraiser claims should be made.
- A statement certifying that the supplier carries product liability insurance which will cover the product being sold by the fundraiser.
- Terms of the sale (payment due date, carrying charges).
- Shipping and expected delivery dates.
- A statement as to who bears the cost of shipping.
- Independent testing and quality control certification.
