    Madison, Wisconsin -

    Bike On! A Kid's Future Rides On It

    Join us the morning of Saturday, July 21 at Edgewood High School, 2219 Monroe Street, Madison, and have a great time for a good cause.

    Bike For Boys & Girls Club brings family, friends, co-workers and neighbors together for a fun-filled ride through picturesque Madison one summer morning every year. Pledges raised support the ongoing mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County to provide programs that inspire and enable our youth to realize their full potential.

    Hundreds of riders will pedal their way across the finish line and into the post-ride party of cold drinks and even colder custard. Title sponsor TREK Bicycles will be on hand with an array of prizes.

    You can get involved as an individual rider or join a team. Cyclists of all ages and abilities can join in on one of three planned routes. Sign up today and ride to bring hope to Dane County kids.

    Three Ways To Par-tay/Three Distances

    Bike For Boys & Girls Club starts and finishes at Edgewood High School, 2219 Monroe Street, Madison, on July 21, 2007. You can choose the following rides:

    • 50 Mile - Check-in 7-8 a.m. Ride starts at 8:30 a.m.
    • 30 Mile - Check-in 8-9 a.m. Ride starts at 9:30 a.m.
    • 10 Mile - Check-in 9-10 a.m. Ride starts at 10:30 a.m.

    After Party

    Crossing the finish line doesn't signal the end! Hang out and enjoy a summer party with new and old friends. Replenish your fluids and re-energize with beer provided by Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co., delicious food from Culvers, Qdoba and many other local sponsors. Hit the grassy dance floor with live tunes and bask in the light of knowing you've helped provide a positive place for kids.

    Riding Selflessly Has Its Rewards

    Bike For Boys & Girls Club is about fun with friends and family and biking in a beautiful city. It's also about raising money for programs that help local kids reach their full potential through the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County. Everyone who registers and rides receives the special 2007 Bike For Boys & Girls Club T-shirt and water bottle. Below are the valuable awards you receive for raising $250 or more (note: families can group their pledges).

  • HERA Ovarian Cancer Climb for Life

    HERA Ovarian Cancer Climb for Life Boulder / Denver CO

    Hosted by CAMP With REI, the Boulder Rock Club and CMS

    When: June 15 - 17, 2007
    Where: Boulder/Denver, CO

    A weekend climbing festival for all levels and all abilities, in the spectacular canyons surrounding Boulder and Denver Colorado.

    Whether you're a beginner or just returned from Mount Everest, everyone is welcome to participate. It's an awesome weekend of climbing with pros, intro to climbing clinics, parties, giveaways, food, music and fun to benefit a good cause. Money raised goes to find a cure for ovarian cancer.

    This is the first year in Boulder for this fun event. Salt Lake is going into its 6th year and sells out, so register early.

    Pro Athletes including: Katie Brown, Nate Gold, Chris Lindner, Adam Stack, Joe Kinder, Bobbie Bensman, Portia Menlove, Alli Rainey, Lynn Hill, Lisa Rands, Chris Sharma, Dean Potter, Steve House, Steph Davis, Heidi Wirtz and Jim Donini have all attended Climb4Life events to help participants reach their climbing goals.

    Registration Fee $50 includes

    • Goodie bag chock full of stuff from our awesome sponsors

    • Friday Hangtime party

    • Yoga + massages

    • Saturday dinner and party

  • 2007 Epilepsy Niagara Closest to the Pin Event

    Niagara, Ontario, Canada -

    The 2007 Epilepsy Niagara Closest to the Pin event will be held on July 26 commencing with the first golfers of the day and ending with the last. At the designated tee, golfers will be invited to participate in the Closest to the Pin event for $5.00, with the chance of winning 50% of the total proceeds received throughout the day at the golf course.

    There are 30 different golf courses involved throughout the Niagara Region, including courses in St.Catharines, Welland, Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. Please email or call the office for a detailed list of golf courses involved or if you are interested in more information or volunteering with us.

  • A Little Garden Music

    Sayville, New York -

    The Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts, in conjunction with Neighbors and Gardeners of Bayport and Blue Point, will present "A Little Garden Music, a tour of 6 area gardens featuring unique out-buildings. Visitors will be entertained by more than 40 musicians playing a wide variety of music from classical to jazz in the gardens throughout the day. Admission for this fundraising event is $20.

    The day begins at Meadow Croft at 10 AM with tours of the estate gardens while harpist Clothilde Giocomoni provides musical entertainment. At the estate's Carriage House, shoppers may purchase new and used gardening items at the Gardeners' Boutique and Flea Market as well as purchase chances for an assortment of raffle prizes to be awarded later in the day.

    Admission is $20. which includes a raffle ticket for the door prize, a red cedar garden obelisk. Tour guides will be available to direct visitors to the 6 gardens on display from 12 to 4 PM, rain or shine.
