- Timber Ridge Suds & Snow
Traverse City, Michigan
-
It's the new signature Timber Ridge event! Put on your beer tastin' snowshoes at this uncommon celebration of two lesser known pastimes in Traverse City: beer tasting and snowshoeing, of course! Music, beer, food and fun on the trails...What better way to spend your Saturday afternoon? And all of this fun is to benefit a Traverse City area family services and adoption agency, so feel good about supporting a good cause.
A dozen Michigan brewers and breweries are on board with their tasty ales, wheats, IPA's and stouts. Tasty soups, sandwiches, and small plates are on the menu. Live music, winter volleyball and fun out on the trails are all on the agenda.
But we had you at "snowshoes", right? Or...was that "brews"?
Mar 1, 2008 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Timber Ridge Resort. Tickets are $13 in advance, $18 at the door (while tickets are available) includes pint glass, trail pass, and two tasting tickets.

Form a team and race against other teams to complete a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle in 3 hours!

The purpose is 2-fold:
1) to help raise money for local charitable agencies, and
2) to have fun!!!
Prizes:
Grand Prize for the team that raises the most money
Prizes to teams that finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Prize to favorite team name (as decided by Puzzle Challenge Committee)
Raffle prizes just for participating
We will provide the puzzle – you get to take it home after the challenge.
How Do I Enter
Form a team. Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers can be a team. (Challenge other friends, family, or neighbors to compete against you!)
Name your team!
Complete Entry form & Submit. Print an entry form from our website.
Collect pledges. Print a Sponsor Sheet from our website. (You may want to print a sheet for each team member). All donations are tax deductible. You may “sponsor” yourself by paying a portion or all of the $200.
Plan and practice your building strategy.
Show up and have FUN!!
Rules
Those interested must submit an entry form. There is no limit to team size, and there is no age restriction for team members.
Each team must raise a minimum of $200 to be eligible for the competition. However, the team that raises the most money will be awarded the Grand Prize. A team can “sponsor” themselves by paying all or a portion of the $200.
All teams will build the same 500 piece puzzle. The puzzle building time limit is three (3) hours. At the end of the three hours, each team will determine how many pieces have been completed, on an “on your honor” system. All puzzle pieces do not have to be connected to the main body of the puzzle, i.e., you may have small sections “floating”.
In addition to the Grand Prize, prizes will be awarded in several other categories: first, second, and third to complete, favorite team uniform, favorite team name (as determined by the Puzzle Challenge committee), and raffle prizes just for participating.
Rules are subject to change at the discretion of the Puzzle Challenge committee prior to the start of the event. All rules will be reviewed at the start of the event.
