  • Half-Way to St. Patrick's Day!

    Come join Engine Company # 1 celebrate Half-Way to St. Patrick's Day!! Irish Festival at West Sayville Fire Department, Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 2:00pm – 7:00pm (Rain or shine)

  • Bike for Boys & Girls Club

    Join us the morning of Saturday, July 21 at Edgewood High School, 2219 Monroe Street, Madison, and have a great time for a good cause.

    Bike For Boys & Girls Club brings family, friends, co-workers and neighbors together for a fun-filled ride through picturesque Madison one summer morning every year. Pledges raised support the ongoing mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County to provide programs that inspire and enable our youth to realize their full potential

  • HERA Ovarian Cancer Climb for Life

    A weekend climbing festival for all levels and all abilities, in the spectacular canyons surrounding Boulder and Denver Colorado.

    Whether you're a beginner or just returned from Mount Everest, everyone is welcome to participate. It's an awesome weekend of climbing with pros, intro to climbing clinics, parties, giveaways, food, music and fun to benefit a good cause. Money raised goes to find a cure for ovarian cancer.

  • 2007 Epilepsy Niagara Closest to the Pin Event

    The 2007 Epilepsy Niagara Closest to the Pin event will be held on July 26 commencing with the first golfers of the day and ending with the last. At the designated tee, golfers will be invited to participate in the Closest to the Pin event for $5.00, with the chance of winning 50% of the total proceeds received throughout the day at the golf course.

  • A Little Garden Music

    The Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts, in conjunction with Neighbors and Gardeners of Bayport and Blue Point, will present "A Little Garden Music, a tour of 6 area gardens featuring unique out-buildings. Visitors will be entertained by more than 40 musicians playing a wide variety of music from classical to jazz in the gardens throughout the day. Admission for this fundraising event is $20.

  • HeadRush

    Headrush, the Fourth Annual Wisconsin Brain Tumor Event to benefit Brain Tumor Research and Education at the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center will be held on Saturday, September 15th, 2007 at Blue Mound State Park, Blue Mounds, WI from 9:30AM - 4PM., $20 individual, $45 entire family.

  • UNCORKED - The San Francisco Wine Festival

    Ghirardelli Square proudly hosts its annual public wine festival for the second year since its inception in 2006. Uncorked! is unique to San Francisco and brings Bay Area wineries and vintners together for one day in May. In partnership with COPIA, Ghirardelli Square will bring award winning wines to San Francisco’s historic waterfront. More than 50 participating wineries from Napa, Sonoma, Santa Cruz, Mendocino, Monterey, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara and more will represent the extraordinary vintages and varietals that the greater San Francisco Bay Area offer.

  • Dining In the Dark

    What is it?

    The 3rd Annual Paula Bailey Dining in the Dark event is a unique dinner to raise awareness about blindness and raise funds for the local non-profit serving the blind, FIRE (FL Institute of Rehabilitation Education.) We are honoring Paula Bailey, a former client and Board member (both blind & deaf from meningitis) who passed away in 2005.

  • Xtreme Bowling Fundraising Event

    Join Friends of the Orphans for our 3,000 Points of Light Xtreme Bowling Event at AMF Annandale Lanes on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 2PM-4PM.

    Friends of the Orphans will take over the Bowling Center in Annandale for some Xtreme bowling. What is Xtreme Bowling? The Annandale Bowling Center will dim the lights, light up the fluorescent bowling pins, and crank up the music! Bring your friends because it's a wild rock-n-bowl party not to miss! All proceeds will benefit the children living in Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH: Spanish for "Our Little Brothers & Sisters") homes located throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, supported by Friends of the Orphans.

  • May Breakfast Breakthrough!

    Join Link to Share as we mix networking and learning with breakfast and giving on May 22, 2007, at Marie Callender's from 7:30 to 10:30 am.

  • Psychic Fundraiser

    Shore Animal Volunteer Enterprise (S.A.V.E.) will be hosting its Halloween Psychic Nite fundraiser On Sunday, October 22nd, at Cool Beans Coffee House in the Seacourt Pavilion Mall in Toms River. The event will run from 6 PM to 10 PM. Several psychics will be on hand to perform readings for interested guests so appointments are recommended and seating is limited. Tickets for a reading, choice of dessert, and tea or coffee are $22. Tickets for $10 include coffee or tea and choice of dessert without a psychic reading. Throughout the evening, guests will be invited to participate in a Halloween/Autumn basket raffle and a 50/50. S.A.V.E. tee shirts will also be available for purchase.

  • Go For Guide Dogs Fundraising Walk

    All dogs in the National Capital Region are invited to bring their owners to Andrew Haydon Park on May 27, 2007 for our annual “Go For Guide Dogs” Fundraising Walk. It’s a walk for the general public and their canine friends to raise money for Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. Anyone with or without a dog can show their support by obtaining pledges or making a donation.

  • The Big Eat

    The Family Centers and Isthmus are pleased to be hosting The Big Eat on Monday, April 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Monona Terrace, sponsored by the Diamond Center, Magic 98 and Econoprint. The Big Eat brings together the delicious specialties of approximately 20 area food purveyors for the sampling pleasure of the community to raise funds for Family Centers. Feast on everything from entre's, appetizers, beverages, and deserts!

  • 4th Annual Fire Truck Pull Fundraiser

    Fire Truck Pull teams compete for fastest pull time, best dressed team, and most money raised in this family-friendly fundraising event that supports LGBTQ youth. Come watch has teams of 12 people pull a REAL Fire Truck up the Church Street Marketplace September 15, 2007 at 2 p.m.

  • Collared Shirt Day

    Shelby Humane Society is planning its first ever Collared Shirt Day, May 11, 2007. The fundraiser, designed to celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week, will help provide the funds necessary to care for the thousands of animals we receive each year.

  • One Brick Social Sock Hop!

    Take off your penny loafers and saddle shoes, roll down your socks, and hike up your Pony Skirt - We are going Back in Time to the Sock Hop!

  • Let’s Play Ball

    This much anticipated annual fundraiser is for grown ups only! This year’s “Let’s Play Ball” will be held on Friday, March 16 from 7:00 p.m. – bedtime (midnight) at George Vitense Golfland. Attendees can enjoy great food and drinks, indoor mini-golf, a heated driving range, ping pong, and more! All proceeds benefit the Madison Children’s Museum. Tickets: $75 per person.

  • Run of the Charles Canoe and Kayak Race

    The 25th Anniversary Run of the Charles Canoe and Kayak Race is a fun way for paddlers and spectators to enjoy all that the Charles River has to offer while also supporting the Charles River Watershed Association, the non-profit organization responsible for the river’s restoration. The annual Run of the Charles Canoe & Kayak Race showcases the ongoing improvements in the Charles River while drawing approximately 1500 paddlers and thousands of spectators to enjoy a day on the river. The race features paddling races for all skill levels, from expert to novice.

  • Camp Bingo

    This is not your grandmother's bingo - it's a whole lot more fun!

    Camp Bingo is a fund-raiser for AIDS Network.

    No Advance Reservations or Ticket Sales: Doors open at 1 PM March 25th and we'll keep on letting people in until there are no seats left! Bingo is at High Noon Saloon, 701A E. Washington Avenue. Doors open at 1 PM -- first numbers called at 2:30 PM!

  • StandUp & Skate! Charity Rollerskate Night Fundraiser

    Bring the entire family out for a fun rollerskating night to support a great cause - kids!

  • 2007 Spring WineFest

    This fundraiser features tempting appetizers, exquisite Italian food and sumptuous desserts prepared by Noto's award-winning chefs, which are accompanied by over 300 fine wines from Italy and around the world, as well as live entertainment from the Rick Reuther Trio. Vintners include Rocca della Macie, Bertani, Sella & Mosca, Cusumano, Conterno, Cavalotto, Volpaia, IL Poggione, Pio Ceasare, Gaja, Masi, Antinori, Vietti, Frescobaldi, Ceretto and Marchesi di Gresy. Tickets for the event are $50 by 3/15, $60 day of - VIP $100 by 3/15, $110 day of the event.

    Not a fundraiser, but a FRIENDraiser.

    Since January is National Mentoring Month, as part of the celebration we are hosting our annual Friendraiser. It is an opportunity for people to get to know Bresee Foundation, our mission, vision and values. It is also a chance for them to learn more about how they can begin to work with us to make a positive change in this community, perhaps by simply becoming a friend or supporter, by giving more and becoming a volunteer or even a staff member, or possibly going further to become a funder or board member. This is a chance to find out what's been done on this corner in Los Angeles for the last 25 years and how you can help us continue to impact the entire city.
