Bring the kids and have pictures taken with a fire truck, police car, SWAT truck, helicopter and an air plane! There will be hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy, snow cones, ice cream, raffle items for kids, Chiefs vs. Broncos ticket raffle for the big kids, clowns, bounce houses, balloons, tattoos, face painting and much more! This is a fund raiser for the future "For the Love of Chance Center" which will offer therapies to children with differing abilities.

Stay Classy, Yelp & Kathy Loper Events present the End of Summer Fire Run, a gorgeous 5K coastal run from La Jolla to Pacific Beach. Like all Stay Classy events that Yelp supports, a portion of proceeds from the event will go to benefit a local charity. The Fire Run benefits the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation.

The Playhouse

Local builder Faulk and Meek Contractors LLC constructed and donated a child-size playhouse designed by local architect Tipton Associates, APAC. The playhouse will be on display for three weeks from July 26 – August 17, 2008 at the Mall of Louisiana. Raffle tickets to win the house will be on sale for $5 at the mall or the CASA office.

Birmingham, Alabama -

AIDS Alabama devotes its energy and resources statewide to helping people with HIV/AIDS live healthy, independent lives and works to prevent the spread of HIV. The organization's annual Red Hot for the Cause gala celebration is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd at Workplay in Birmingham, Alabama. This event is staged to serve not only as a tribute to AIDS Alabama's accomplishments, but also as a tool to raise community awareness and support for HIV/AIDS issues.

The 2008 gala will feature live music, food and drink, a silent auction, and a casino area where guests can use "play" money at game tables for a chance to win prizes. We invite you to join with us in this important cause - only through community support can we continue making a significant difference in the lives of HIV-positive Alabamians.
