- Pipers on the Prairie
Manona, Wisconsin
-
Come - Engage your Senses and let your Imagination Run Wild at the Fall Fundraising Gala, Pipers in the Prairie & Festival Fire at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center.
Aldo Leopold Nature Center will offer a unique and unforgettable celebration of the season. This event is a family-friendly outing offering a blend of activities found nowhere else in Madison, including music, drama, culture, and unique indoor and outdoor nature activities.
The evening begins with hearty hors d'oeuvres as Celtic music enchants with its ethereal and enchanting melodies.
As twilight descends, guests will hear a faint beating of drums in the distance. As they assemble outside the beat grows louder and faster - then suddenly stops - silence! Anticipation rises as a lone piper is heard in the meadow - other bagpipers from the Madison Pipes and Drums and Bravest & Finest Memorial Pipe Band, in full regalia, join him as they march up the trails to serenade the guests and lead them to the bonfire wood. Suddenly the woodpile erupts into a magnificent bonfire and lights up the night sky with its brilliance, and the threat of old man winter is driven off for at least one more day.
This fundraising event will feature an unforgettable evening of enchanting and unique entertainment featuring:
- Hearty Hors d'oeuvres and Decadent Desserts
- Complimentary Wine, Beer and Non-Alcoholic Beverages
- The captivating sounds of Pipers in the Prairie and Drummers on the Drumlin
